Here we have a set of three images on one page, maybe from an album made by an artist named Circé. The soft, almost faded colours, suggest a delicate and intimate touch, like a half-remembered dream. I'm drawn to the way the figures interact with the surrounding flowers. In the central image, the flowers form a frame around the woman, her dress echoing their gentle curves. It's like she's emerging from a floral dreamscape. The colours are muted, with pinks and greens blending to create an almost faded effect. It’s hard to tell what tools were used. The brushwork seems almost absent, adding to that dreamlike quality. This piece reminds me a little of the Pre-Raphaelites, artists like John Everett Millais or Dante Gabriel Rossetti, who also explored themes of beauty and romance. But where the Pre-Raphaelites were often detailed and precise, Circé's work has a looseness. It embraces ambiguity and invites us to find our own meanings in the images.
