FORMA SEMIDEFINIDA 

Ramon Oviedo's painting presents us with a haunting figure suspended against a dark abyss. The stark lines pull at the figure in this image, bringing to mind the Fates of classical antiquity, or perhaps, the puppet masters of modern theater. Consider the symbolism of the strings, an image that recurs throughout history, from the threads of destiny spun by ancient Greek goddesses to the marionettes of commedia dell'arte. What does it mean to be suspended, controlled, or manipulated? Notice the raw vulnerability of the creature, the gaping mouth, seemingly caught between agony and a primal scream. These emotional states are echoed in Edvard Munch's The Scream, where a similar expression conveys existential dread. Like Munch, Oviedo taps into a deep well of human emotion, revealing the anxieties and fears that lie just beneath the surface of our collective consciousness. As we look, we find ourselves entangled in the same emotional web, bound by threads of shared experience.
