Curator: We are looking at an untitled print by Sir Eduardo Paolozzi, part of the Tate collection. The dimensions of the image are 380 by 255 mm. Editor: At first glance, this pale image gives me the shivers! It's like staring at rows and rows of ghostly clocks, all stuck at different times. Curator: The semiotic structure here evokes complex readings of temporality and industrial production. Note the repetition of circular forms, each subtly varied. Editor: Maybe it's about how time marches on, even when we're not looking? Or how we're all just cogs in some giant, cosmic machine? Heavy stuff, but fascinating! Curator: Indeed. It invites us to consider time not as linear, but as a field of endlessly repeating, yet always unique, moments. Editor: Seeing it that way gives me a strange sense of calm. Like, okay, time's weird, but we're all in this swirling vortex together!
