Here, we have an untitled sculpture by Mihai Olos, constructed from wood. Olos, born in Romania, lived through a period of intense political and social change, including the rise and fall of communism. This sculpture, with its geometric forms, might seem purely abstract at first glance. But consider the context: under a totalitarian regime, artists often used abstraction as a coded language.
