Pavlo Makov made this large mixed media work, Garden to Missis M, and right away I’m seeing process, almost like a mind map or a series of connected thoughts. The color palette is muted, almost aged, with pops of red and blue that feel both deliberate and slightly faded. Look at the density of marks and the way Makov layers imagery, connecting different forms and shapes through lines and color, creating a network of visual information that feels both chaotic and intentional. I’m drawn to the lower center where there’s this dark, tree-like form; the branches reach out, connecting with other elements, like the cups and diagrams. It's like a central node from which everything else flows. This piece reminds me of Paul Klee, that playful curiosity with symbols and signs. It’s a piece that invites you to wander, to get lost in its details, and to find your own connections within the garden of Makov’s mind. It's a celebration of the endless possibilities of artmaking as an ongoing conversation.
