Yabu Chōsui (1813–1867) was a Japanese artist known for his unique style of painting, characterized by a bold, calligraphic approach. His works often depict landscapes and natural scenes, such as mountains, rivers, and cherry blossoms, infused with a poetic sensibility. Chōsui's art is often associated with the *Nanga* style, a revival movement of Chinese-influenced painting that emphasized literati ideals. He is also known for his innovative use of color and brushwork, and his influence can be seen in the works of later artists.
