Biography
Monogrammist HK, also known as "graveur," was a printmaker who created the engraving "Viglaté et guianescitts qnahora donvs vesvenesit" (1578). The work depicts a complex sundial, which uses the position of the sun to determine the time, as well as astronomical features such as the zodiac and the solstices. The intricate design includes symbolic figures representing the months of the year, each engaging in seasonal activities. This engraving is a testament to the artistry and scientific knowledge of the Renaissance era.
