Victor Vasarely made "CHOKK" using geometric shapes and a super-saturated color palette. It's all about how colors play with each other and create a visual buzz. What strikes me is the intensity of the blue background, right? It's like the whole painting is vibrating. Then you have these geometric shapes, each with its own gradient, fighting for attention. Look at the central circle, how the red and grey lines pull you in, deeper and deeper. It’s a portal! Vasarely was all about this idea of art being accessible and almost mass-produced. There’s a certain coldness, a kind of remove from the artist's hand. It makes me think of Bridget Riley, how she also explored these optical effects, but maybe with a bit more wiggle room, a bit more… human touch? "CHOKK" is not necessarily my thing, but I can appreciate the intensity of it, the way it just grabs your eyeballs and says, "Look!"
