Picasso assembled 'Head' from paper and paint. It's an odd head, isn't it? Sort of geometric and pieced together. I imagine Picasso snipping and sticking, maybe thinking about how we see faces, not as smooth wholes but as collections of angles and shapes. That strong blue slash—is it an eye, a nose, or just a form? It cuts right through everything! I can see him moving things around, trying different arrangements, embracing the accidents. You know, sometimes I feel like that with my own work— piecing together bits of color and line, hoping they'll add up to something that feels real. There is a dialogue, a sort of call-and-response that happens across the ages. It's like we're all just talking to each other with paint and paper, trying to make sense of the world one brushstroke at a time. Picasso's head feels like a part of that conversation.
