This hard-edge geometric abstraction by Piero Dorazio, has a real trip-not-fall-into-the-void kind of vibe. I’m imagining Dorazio, with his brushes, carefully layering those precise stripes of color that lead your eye into infinity! The color shifts from cool blues and greens to warmer reds as it moves inward. The effect is almost dizzying, like looking into some kind of chromatic tunnel. It's interesting that, by limiting his palette to stripes, Dorazio unlocks unexpected depth. It kind of makes you wonder about the relationship between order and chaos, right? It is a spatial experiment that reminds me of Bridget Riley’s Op Art. It's as if Dorazio invites you to step into a conversation about how we perceive space, colour, and, ultimately, reality itself.
