Curator: This composite work is titled Buenos Aires Cathedral + ‘Witches’ Sabbath’, a drawing by León Ferrari, part of the Douce Collection. Editor: Whoa, it’s like high and low culture crashing into each other… or maybe dancing a tango. The cathedral feels so solid, but then the witches’ Sabbath is just wild energy. Curator: The formal juxtaposition creates a deliberate tension. Ferrari uses stark contrast and layering to challenge established orders. Notice how the architectural precision of the cathedral is undermined by the chaotic freedom above. Editor: I see it, it’s like the subconscious erupting right above the facade of respectability. Are we supposed to laugh or be horrified? I think both. Curator: Precisely, the artwork invites us to interrogate the very foundations of power and belief. Editor: Well, I’m properly unsettled. I’ll never look at a cathedral the same way again.
