Curator: Consider the social role of women. The painting represents Mary's presentation; what does it say about societal expectations imposed on women, then and now? Is it a celebration, or a commentary on patriarchal structures? Editor: I see. It shows a tradition but maybe also questions the power dynamics within that tradition. Curator: Precisely.
