Brantasbrug Koenir
Listen to curator's interpretation
Curatorial notes
Atelier Kurkdjian captured the Brantasbrug Koenir with a camera, freezing a moment of industrial progress. The bridge, a potent symbol of connectivity and overcoming natural barriers, dominates the scene. Consider the arch, recurring throughout the bridge's structure. It is a visual echo of Roman aqueducts, emblems of civilization's conquest over nature, but also older, more primal symbols. The arch in this bridge speaks of the relentless human spirit, our drive to link, to build, to traverse. Its stark geometry contrasts sharply with the organic, fluid nature of the river, an age-old struggle. The bridge, then, becomes more than mere infrastructure. It’s a stage for the drama of human ambition. The image resonates with a deep, almost subconscious tension between our built world and the forces of nature that both challenge and sustain us.
