Editor: This is Irene Bayer’s Paper Sculpture, housed at the Harvard Art Museums. It's a whimsical, almost musical arrangement. What's your take on it? Curator: It sings a Bauhaus tune, doesn't it? Simple forms, elegant repetition. It feels like she’s playing with light and shadow. The shadow is almost as important as the object itself, wouldn't you agree? A dance of constructivism and the ephemeral. Editor: Definitely! The shadows give it such depth. I hadn’t thought of it as a dance, but now I see it. Curator: Art is all about seeing what wasn't there before, isn't it? Now, I can almost hear the sculpture waltzing. Editor: Me too! It's amazing how a new perspective can change everything.
