Ivan Marchuk made this painting, Composition № 368, at some point, using a technique he called "Plyontanism," which, to me, looks like he’s building up a world from countless individual lines. The painting's got this wild, almost scribbled feel, but when you step back, it all comes together. I find myself lost in the details, like in that central spine of gold, how it anchors the whole piece, giving a kind of regal presence amidst the chaos. It's interesting to think about texture here - how Marchuk builds his surfaces, the rhythm he's creating, the sheer physicality of it all. This piece reminds me a little of Cy Twombly's work, that same kind of energy and freedom. It’s this endless, fascinating conversation between artists, where meaning isn't fixed but always evolving.
