11th Street story 4 1951

Robert Frank made this photo, "11th Street story 4," and it's not just one photo, it's a contact sheet. It’s a whole bunch of photos, a story, right there on one surface. I can just imagine him walking around with his camera, the shutter snapping, framing, cropping, deciding what to leave in, and what to leave out. Looking at this sheet, I think about Frank's vision, how he saw the world, and how he put it all together. There are street scenes, buildings, people, and some more abstract shots too.
