Editor: This is "Nagasaki, Maryuyama no ke" from *A Hundred Views of Famous Places in the Various Provinces* by Utagawa Hiroshige II. The color palette is so vibrant, it almost feels like a dreamscape, but what jumps out at me is the woman with the telescope. What do you make of her? Curator: She certainly captures the imagination, doesn’t she? She’s a window into a world of curiosity and observation, inviting us to look closer, maybe even question what we think we already see. It’s like Hiroshige is hinting that perspective is everything, isn't it? Editor: Absolutely! I love how you put that. I didn't think of it that way at all.
