Alfred Jensen made “My Oneness, A Universe of Colours” using paint, and well, the colours of the universe, it looks like. Look closely, and you can almost feel the rhythm of Jensen’s hand as he built up these layers. See that broken line of blue, just off center? It’s like a little hiccup, a moment of imperfection that makes the whole thing sing. Jensen’s work often feels like a puzzle, a personal language of symbols and colors and patterns.
