This is Victor Vasarely’s “Optical Composition," and it's all about making your eyes dance. I can imagine Vasarely carefully plotting each line and color, almost like a mathematician or architect, but with a painter’s heart. He’s playing with shades of blue and green to create forms that feel like they’re popping out or sinking in, right? It's as though the painting has a pulse. You can see his interest in geometric shapes and their visual effects. Think about how the light seems to shift across the surface, making those cylinders and squares do a little jig. Painters like Josef Albers were also exploring color theory and perception, each pushing the boundaries of what painting could do. In the end, it is not just about what you see, but how you see it!
