Rainbow (Regenbogen)
Listen to curator's interpretation
Curatorial notes
Editor: This is "Rainbow" by Hermann Gocht. It has an almost dreamlike quality, with the muted tones and the arc of the rainbow overhead. What do you see in this piece? Curator: Well, immediately, I feel a deep connection to nature, a sort of bucolic tranquility. The rainbow, of course, is a symbol of hope, but I wonder what Gocht is suggesting by placing these figures, perhaps representing different stages of life, beneath it. What do you think they are yearning for? Editor: That's a good point. Perhaps it's about shared hope, something that unites people across generations. It's a really interesting perspective! Curator: Precisely! And now I'm yearning for a bit of that peace myself.
