Curator: Let's dive into this piece, shall we? Editor: This is "Saint Justina," undated, by an anonymous artist. It's a small print, about 2 1/2 by 2 3/4 inches, currently at the Harvard Art Museums. The first thing that strikes me is how delicate the linework is, especially considering how small it is. What do you make of it? Curator: It's quite charming, isn't it? Notice how the artist uses line to create texture. Do you see how the saint almost emerges from the page, her gentle expression inviting contemplation? Editor: I do. It also has a sense of serenity and reverence, despite being so small and simply rendered. Curator: Precisely! It's a reminder that even in the smallest of gestures, great beauty and devotion can be found. Editor: It's amazing how much expression is packed into such a tiny image. I'll definitely be looking at prints differently now!
