Editor: This is “Not End Titled” by Achill Redo. It's a mixed media piece. The composition is quite striking, but I'm not sure what to make of it. What stands out to you? Curator: The circular form immediately suggests wholeness, but the fragmented materials disrupt that illusion. Consider how Redo, working post-World War II, might be commenting on societal fractures. What histories do these discarded materials carry? Editor: So, it’s less about the beauty of the object and more about the statement? Curator: Precisely. It is about the relationship between the materials, the history and its context within contemporary society. Perhaps it reflects the artist's position in the then current social climate. Editor: Okay, I see it in a completely different light now. Curator: Exactly! Art is about shifting perspectives.
