This is a view of Biarritz with the sea, rocks, and surf. The artwork was made by Delizy, though we don’t know exactly when. The photograph feels like a sepia dream. I imagine Delizy lugging heavy equipment to the coast, setting up, and hoping for the right light and tides. I wonder what they thought about while waiting for the perfect shot. Did they feel the weight of history, or were they just trying to capture a pretty picture? The tones are muted, yet they evoke such a strong sense of place, almost like a memory fading over time. Photography, like painting, is about capturing a moment and creating a space for the viewer to reflect. What do you think Delizy was trying to tell us?
