Biography
Wilhelm Cronenberg was a photographer who practiced photogravure. He published a book called “La Pratique Phototypogravure Américaine” in 1898, which included detailed instructions on the technique. The book included images of the artist’s own work, such as a nude female figure reclining on a beach and a portrait of a woman. Photogravure was a popular technique in the late 19th century, producing high-quality prints that resembled etchings or engravings.
