Weduwe Aldag was a Dutch printmaker and illustrator known for their illustrated chapbooks or "prentboeken." These were small, inexpensive books printed on cheap paper that contained stories, songs, and other forms of entertainment. Aldag's prints were often satirical in nature and featured scenes from everyday life. Their work is characterized by its simple but expressive style and its use of bright, bold colors.
