Vincenzo Camuccini (February 22, 1771 – September 2, 1844) was a renowned Italian painter known for his Neoclassical style, which drew inspiration from ancient Roman and Greek art. He is known for his historical and religious subjects, often depicting dramatic scenes from mythology and biblical stories. Camuccini’s works are characterized by their precise detail, elegant compositions, and harmonious use of color. Notable works include the "Death of Caesar" (1805) and "The Virgin Mary with the Infant Jesus and Saint John the Baptist" (1832). He is considered a key figure in the transition from Neoclassicism to Romanticism in Italian art.
