Sulpice Brizard

Sulpice Brizard (1735-1798) was a French furniture maker who specialized in elegant and refined pieces for the aristocracy. His work is characterized by its delicate ornamentation, often featuring floral motifs and intricate carvings. Brizard was known for his chairs, which were often made of light-colored wood, such as beechwood or pearwood, and then gilded. He also incorporated elements of Neoclassical style into his designs, which were popular during the late 18th century.
