Biography
René Brancour (1862-1948) was a French musician and educator. He was a Conservateur (curator) of the Musée du Conservatoire National de Musique et de Déclamation, a professor at the Association for Secondary Education of Young Girls, and a music teacher at the Lycée Saint-Louis. Brancour's professional life was dedicated to the advancement of music education, particularly for young women, in the 19th and early 20th centuries. His impact is evident in his work at prominent institutions, such as the Musée du Conservatoire National de Musique et de Déclamation.
