Biography
Pieter Vogelaer was a Dutch draughtsman and engraver, born in Zierikzee in 1641. He is known for his detailed and meticulous depictions of architectural subjects and seascapes. Vogelaer's work is characterized by its precise lines and use of hatching, creating a sense of depth and realism. He often included figures and details in his compositions, adding a sense of life and activity to his scenes.
