Biography
Perle Fine was an American abstract painter known for her geometric, minimalist style. Born in 1905 in Boston, she explored the principles of color, line, and form in her work. Fine's paintings, often featuring grids, rectangles, or geometric shapes, are characterized by their stark simplicity and delicate variations in color. Her work is highly influential in the development of minimalist art, particularly her exploration of geometric form and color field painting. Fine died in East Hampton, New York in 1988.
