Biography
Patrick Caulfield (1936 - 2005) was an English painter and printmaker known for his bold and simplified style. His works are characterized by flat planes of color, black outlines, and a sense of detachment. Caulfield often depicted ordinary objects, such as still life arrangements or interiors, in a way that felt both familiar and strangely surreal. His work is closely associated with Pop Art and the New English Painting movement of the 1960s, exploring themes of consumer culture, the mundane, and the everyday.
