Biography
Orazio Borgianni was an Italian Renaissance artist, active between 1578 and 1616. He was a prolific printmaker, specializing in etchings and engravings. His works often depicted biblical scenes, featuring a detailed and expressive style, using strong lines and shading to create a sense of depth and emotion. These characteristics are evident in his etchings like "The Massacre of the Innocents," "The Adoration of the Magi" and "The Flight into Egypt."
