Biography
Nicolas Pitau (1670-1724) was a French engraver known for his detailed engravings of religious and historical figures. His work often featured ornate frames, intricate details in clothing, and the use of light and shadow to create depth. His prints were popular amongst collectors in the 17th and 18th centuries and are still admired today for their technical skill and the portrayal of historical figures.
