Nicolas Cochin (1610-1686) was a French engraver known for his landscape prints, often depicting scenes of rural life and architecture. His work is characterized by its meticulous detail and delicate linework, as seen in his print of a ruined tower and surrounding countryside. Cochin also created title pages for books, such as his "Livre nouveau de Fleurs tres-vtil pour l'Art d'orfèvrerie et autres," featuring a formal garden scene.
