She was a pioneer of Pictorialism, a style of photography that emphasized artistic expression and used soft focus, tonal range, and composition to create evocative images. Wiggins's work often depicted scenes of everyday life, including portraits, landscapes, and still lifes, using a combination of soft lighting, naturalistic compositions, and evocative details. She was a member of the Camera Club of Seattle and exhibited her work throughout the region, as well as nationally.
