Biography
Morton Schamberg (1881-1918) was an American artist best known for his contributions to the Precisionist movement. His early work often included representational elements, such as the two photographs of a young boy and girl that he created in 1912. However, he later shifted toward more abstract and geometric forms, as seen in his painting "Machine" (1916), a clear example of Precisionism with its bold lines and simplified shapes, reflecting the influence of modern technology on art. He is considered a pioneer of American modernism, pushing boundaries and contributing to the evolution of art.
