Melchior Brassauw (1709-1757) was a Flemish painter known for his genre scenes and portraits. Born in Mechelen, he later moved to Antwerp, where he became a member of the Guild of Saint Luke. Brassauw's paintings often depicted scenes of daily life, such as musical gatherings, conversations, or domestic interiors.
