Biography
Léopold Flameng was a French artist active in the late 19th Century. His work was characterized by detailed black and white etchings. He was known for his intricate illustrations of animal and human figures as well as for his depictions of still life objects such as musical instruments. This is exemplified in his etching "Violin" which depicts a violin with a detailed and intricate design engraved on its surface.
