Leonhard Staub was a German printmaker who lived from 1800 to 1826. He is known for his engravings of historical figures, such as Erasmus of Rotterdam, General George Augustus Elliot and Peter Frank. Staub's engravings are characterized by their detailed lines and sharp contrast, which create a sense of realism and depth. His work is considered an important example of the neoclassical style of printmaking popular in the early 19th century.
