Kōno Haruaki (1787-1860) was a Japanese artist known for his intricate and detailed metalwork, particularly in the style of "shishi" (lion-dog) sculptures. His works often feature realistic depictions of animals, often in dynamic poses, and are characterized by the use of various materials, including bronze, gold, and ivory. He is best known for his exquisite inlays and high-relief sculptures.
