Biography
Koenraet Ten Eyck (1678-1753) was a Dutch silversmith who worked in the Netherlands. He is known for his silverwork which incorporated the Dutch Rococo style. The image shows a silver tankard, which is a type of drinking vessel, with a simple yet elegant design characteristic of the Dutch Rococo period. The tankard is decorated with bands of engraved lines and the handle is a simple, curved design. The tankard is a fine example of Ten Eyck's craftsmanship and his mastery of the Rococo style.
