Johannes van de Knikker (1731-1815) was a Dutch maker of woodwind instruments. He is known for his craftsmanship in crafting oboes and bassoons. These instruments are often recognized for their distinct design, featuring a dark wood body with ivory accents. His oboes, with their cylindrical bore and slender bell, are particularly sought after by musicians for their rich tone and responsiveness. Van de Knikker's instruments are considered to be some of the finest examples of 18th century woodwind craftsmanship and are prized by collectors and musicians alike.
