Biography
Jean Michel Moreau the Younger (1741-1814) was a French artist and printmaker known for his detailed and often whimsical depictions of 18th-century life. Moreau, who was a prolific artist, was a specialist in the Rococo style, known for its elegant and playful designs. His works often featured elaborate scenes of courtly life, festivals, and celebrations, as well as landscapes and genre scenes. His notable works include 'La Cinquantaine' and 'Feux d'artifice dans le Parc de la Muette'. He was a keen observer of his time and his art offers a valuable insight into the social and cultural life of the French aristocracy during the late 18th century.
