Guanxiu (832-912) was a Chinese painter born in Lanxi, Zhejiang. Known for his masterful ink-and-wash style, Guanxiu painted landscapes and Buddhist figures, often depicting scenes of spiritual tranquility. His work, characterized by subtle lines, delicate brushstrokes, and evocative washes, is seen as a bridge between the Northern and Southern Schools of Chinese painting. Guanxiu's influence on later Chinese art is significant, as he helped establish the foundations of landscape painting in the Tang dynasty.
