Biography
Giovanni di Balduccio was an Italian sculptor active in the first half of the 14th century. Known for his masterful marble reliefs, di Balduccio's work often depicted religious figures and scenes. The artist's refined style, characterized by expressive figures and delicate drapery, influenced the development of early Renaissance sculpture. His notable works include the tomb of Henry VII in Westminster Abbey, and numerous reliefs for churches in Florence and Pisa.
