Gerrit van Orden

Gerrit van Orden (1774-1854) was a Dutch painter and draughtsman, born and died in Zaandam. He was known for his skill in portraiture and his ability to capture the likeness of his subjects. Van Orden's work is characterized by its realistic style and attention to detail. He was a member of the Dutch Golden Age school of painting and his work is often found in museums and private collections throughout the Netherlands.
