Biography
Georges Seurat (1859-1891) was a French post-Impressionist artist renowned for his innovative technique of pointillism. His paintings are composed of distinct dots of color, which when viewed from a distance create the illusion of blended tones. This method, known as chromoluminarism, emphasizes the interplay of light and color, as seen in his masterpiece, "A Sunday on La Grande Jatte". While he had a short career, Seurat significantly influenced the development of modern art through his bold experiments and aesthetic theories.
