Biography
Gemeenschappelijke Actie van Nederlandse Vrouwen was a collective of Dutch women who organized a campaign to advocate for the release of Dutch prisoners of war held in Japanese camps during World War II. The group published an "Open Letter" to the Dutch Prime Minister in September 1948, urging the government to prioritize the repatriation of these prisoners. They cited the inhumane conditions of these camps and detailed the urgent need for their release. The letter highlighted the suffering of those held captive and called on the government to act swiftly for their immediate return.
