Gabriel de Saint-Aubin was a French draftsman and printmaker who was active during the 18th century. His works often depict scenes of daily life and social satire, often involving figures from the French court, such as in the drawing *Marie Leczinska and Louis XV*, and the intricate composition *The Flight to Egypt* which shows a group of people gathered around a central figure, conveying a sense of urgency and drama. He was known for his use of detailed brushstrokes and delicate washes, as seen in the mixed media drawing *Study for a Figure*.
