Biography
Daniel van Lith de Jeude was a Dutch engraver who specialized in creating historical prints. His most well-known work is the "Praalbooch der Historische Vereenigde Stadhouderen van de Zeven Provincien," a detailed print depicting the history of the Stadtholders of the Netherlands. The image was created in 1718 and is a visual representation of the history of the Dutch Republic. It depicts the Stadtholders in a chronological order, with each figure represented in their respective period clothing. The detailed print, also known as a "triumphal arch," serves as a significant historical document reflecting the Dutch Republic's rich history.
